Isn’t having a dog meant to be a walk in the park?

When you brought your dog home you imagined joyful park walks, quiet evenings on the sofa, weekend trips outside the city.

Fast forward. Every walk feels like a hazard perception test. You scan corners, cross roads, hide behind cars and brace before your dog has even reacted.

You can’t have people over. Your dog’s stress has become your stress and you’re worried about the future.

And it’s getting worse. Because as your dog’s reactivity grows, your world is shrinking.

You've tried treats, cues, avoidance, group classes and one-off sessions. Some of it helped, but it didn’t last.

Training failed. You didn't.

You need a clear plan that helps your dog feel safe and cope with stress, so you can stop guessing and start trusting what to do next. And support in the places where life actually happens.

Imagine a life without constant stress

With Reactive to Resilient, your dog can learn to:

  • Walk on a loose lead without pulling, barking, or lunging at dogs or people
  • Settle at home and in public, so life feels easy again
  • Cope with everyday triggers: other dogs, strangers, doorbells, traffic
  • Share space and resources comfortably, without guarding

And for you, that means:

  • Walks are enjoyable again. No more Dog Walk Dread
  • Freedom to invite friends over, take your dog out with you, and live your life without planning around their stress
  • The end of the shame spiral. You stop feeling like you're failing, and start trusting you both know what you're doing

Why Dog Training Stops Working When It Matters Most

Dog training teaches skills. But when stress has built up in your dog's body and their nervous system is on overdrive, those skills are hard to access. Reactive to Resilient lowers the stress underneath the behaviour, so your dog can actually use what they have learned.

Traditional dog training

  • Teaches "sit", "stay", "leave it"
  • Uses treats to distract
  • Trains what you see (symptom)
  • Works on the behaviour in isolation
  • One-size-fits-all solution

Reactive to Resilient

  • Helps your dog feel safe enough to make a choice about their behaviour
  • Builds resilience around their triggers
  • Changes how they feel (root)
  • Looks at your dog's whole life: routine, exercise and fulfilment
  • A personalised plan for your dog

With a personalised plan and real-world coaching, you will stop dreading walks, know exactly what to do when a trigger appears, and finally have a dog who can settle at home and handle more of life.

The East London Reactive Dog Trainer Who Does Things Differently

Most reactive dog training focuses on what you can see: the barking, lunging, freezing, pulling. I go deeper.

I help dogs who have been failed by traditional dog training by working on the underlying stress, tension, and emotions instead of correcting what is on the surface.

I have been working with sensitive, anxious and reactive dogs in East London since 2018. I provide reactive dog training East London guardians can count on, working across Waltham Forest, Newham, Redbridge, and the surrounding areas.

"I used to dread walks every day, but Meghan taught me tools to manage and overcome my dog's reactivity and we can now enjoy walks again. Ruby is much more relaxed now and has even started engaging with other dogs in a calm way. Life changing!"

"For a long time I thought it would be impossible for me to go on a walk with my Maltese Frank without him being reactive. A mere few weeks later and I saw such significant strides of improvement in Frank, and it has only grown as the course progressed."

"Working with Meghan has been a transformative experience for both us and our dog Otto. Otto is much calmer and less reactive; he also has less intense arousal responses to things that trigger him, thanks to the techniques we have learned with Meghan."

"I think we've seen possibly the best progress we have had in a training environment with our dog Rick after working with Meghan. We have been given some solid tools that we will continue using in the future, and have seen a difference in our dog's ability to settle himself."

"Working with Meghan has been truly transformational for us and our dog, having had little success with previous behaviourists or trainers. Our dog is now much happier and content, and we now understand how best to meet our dog's needs."

"Working with Meghan completely changed the way I understand my dog. Her approach is based not just on obedience or conditioning, but on helping the dog feel calmer and understanding their needs, anxiety, emotions and body language. Fiddle is still learning, but she is more regulated, calmer and happier than before, and that means everything."

Reactive to Resilient: Stop Managing. Start Living.

This isn't another quick fix or a block of sessions and a good luck wish. It's a complete transformation system with me in your corner from start to finish: a clear roadmap built around your dog's triggers, training where life happens, and support between sessions so you're never left guessing.

How it works

Practise where life happens

In your home, on your walks and around the real situations you need help with, so you know exactly what to do when a trigger appears.

3

Adjust between sessions

Ongoing WhatsApp support so you never stall, second-guess yourself or wait until the next session to fix what went wrong.

4

Keep building

A debrief call to review progress, troubleshoot, and map out what comes next.

FAQs

Will this work if I've already tried another trainer?+
Yes. Most of my clients have already tried treats, cues, avoidance, YouTube, or another trainer. Some of it helps, but it rarely fixes the stress driving the reaction. We help your dog feel safe and cope with stress so training actually sticks.
How is this different from obedience or treat training?+
Obedience targets the mind. Reactivity lives in the body. We calm the nervous system with TTouch and lifestyle adjustments first, then build focus and response on top of that.
How soon will I see changes, and what does "measurable progress" mean?+
You'll feel some relief in week one, straight after the onboarding audit. From weeks three to six, we're tracking fewer outbursts, lower intensity, faster recovery, or better disengagement. Those are the metrics I hold us to.
Is this programme suitable for a rescue, adolescent, or very anxious dog?+
Yes. The method is built for sensitive, easily overwhelmed dogs. We shrink their world down to what feels safe first, then grow it back out at a pace they can handle, prioritising safety and regulation before we generalise the skills into everyday life.
What if I'm short on time, or I miss a session?+
The programme is built for real people with real lives. My recommendations fit into what you're already doing. Sessions can be rescheduled, calls are recorded, and the group chat is there for questions any time. You're paying for the transformation, not perfection.

Results guaranteed

You do the work, I carry the risk. Attend every session, complete the exercises, and log your progress.

If you don't see measurable improvement: fewer outbursts, lower intensity, shorter recovery time, or a better ability to disengage, I'll work with you for two additional sessions at no extra cost.

The only thing you're likely to lose is the dog walk dread.

Go beyond dog training. Help your reactive dog heal and thrive.
